It crossed my mind the other day that using names of gods and emperors for our days and weeks must have some insidious effect, no matter how small, on our thought patterns. How about agreeing to change the names to commemorate people and things of a more positive nature? Say, for the weekdays: Martin, Teresa, Wonder, Thrive, Freedom, Sadat, Sunshine. OK, some of those are pretty lame... I'm open to suggestions.
